A Guide to Our Donation Process
Aside from proving support to thousands upon thousands of sick kids throughout the country, we also aim to provide our generous donors with the comfort and convenience that they deserve. When you hand over your clunker to our Las Vegas, Nevada car donations program, we’ll do all the heavy lifting on your behalf. In case you’re curious about how everything works, here’s a guide to our donation process.
1. You get in touch with us.
Let us know of your intent to donate your vehicle to us by calling us at 866-634-8395 or by filling out our donation form on this website. Provide us with your contact details and some basic information about your vehicle, such as its year, make, model, mileage, working condition, and the availability of its title.
2. Schedule your vehicle’s FREE pickup.
After we verify your given information, we’ll call you to ask for your preferred date, time, and location for your car’s FREE pickup. We’ll then assign a licensed towing company to haul off your vehicle at no cost to you. If you can’t be around on the day of pickup, please don’t forget to leave the keys and the title inside your car. Also, don’t forget to remove your personal belongings inside the vehicle before you hand it over to us.
Before taking your vehicle, we’ll issue you a towing receipt so you can be released from all liability on your vehicle from that point onward. The receipt also allows you to cancel your DMV registration and insurance coverage.
3. We’ll send your tax-deductible receipt by mail.
Once we have your donated vehicle, we’ll have it auctioned off. A few days following the sale of your vehicle, we’ll send you by mail your 100% tax-deductible sales receipt. This will serve as your ticket for claiming your tax deduction when you file your itemized federal income tax return in the next tax season.
