Learn More About Miami

In Miami-Dade County, about 20.2% of residents are children under the age of 18. Moreover, 5.5% of these residents are younger than five. Unfortunately, many children in the area experience economic challenges. In fact, approximately 21.1% of kids in Miami-Dade County live below the poverty level.

Moreover, about 34.21% of households with kids live in poverty. This is especially prevalent in poor neighborhoods such as Little Havana, Wynwood, West Flagler, Upper Eastside, South Coconut Grove, Model City, Overtown, Downtown, Allapattah and Little Haiti. This data highlights the critical need for childhood development resources in these areas.

Despite this data, however, Miami is a great place for families since it has much to offer. One popular attraction is the Zoo Miami, where little ones can learn about and see various exotic animals. Children can also interact with rare and endangered species at the Zoological Wildlife Foundation. They can learn about the preservation and propagation of many species. Additionally, those who enjoy art might appreciate a visit to Wynwood Walls, which is an outdoor art exhibit with colorful murals and graffiti.

Miami also boasts many shopping opportunities, such as the Dolphin Mall and Bayside Marketplace. The latter is a waterfront entertainment complex that offers dining, shopping and outdoor performances. When it comes to transportation, families can travel the city via the free Miami Trolley. This trolley service stops at many popular spots, including the Miami Children’s Museum, Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and Miami Seaquarium.

Any Type of Vehicle is Acceptable

Are you worried that we might not find your vehicle acceptable? Don’t be. Although it’s true that vehicles in good working condition will fetch higher selling prices at auction and thus generate more money for our charity partners’ programs, this doesn’t mean that we won’t accept a vehicle that’s in dire need of repairs.

It doesn’t matter if your gift didn’t pass the state emissions test, badly needs a new paint job, has a faulty ignition switch or a dead battery. We can still manage to squeeze out some value out of it. You won’t have to go through all the trouble of getting your car fixed because we’re willing to take it as it is.

Take a look at this list of vehicle types that we usually receive from our donors:
